Jiv1.Health AI Private Limited ("Jiv1", "we", "us", "our") operates the Jiv1 mobile application and website (jiv1.ai) — a digital healthcare platform that helps patients in India discover doctors, book teleconsultations and home visits, manage health records, order medicines from partner pharmacies, and access insurance and financing options. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and your rights. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information we collect

• Identity & contact: name, date of birth, gender, phone number, email, address, and — where required for KYC — Aadhaar/PAN details.
• Health information: symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, lab reports, vitals, and other medical records you or your doctor add. This is sensitive personal data and is treated with heightened protection.
• Financial information: billing details and payment status. Card, UPI, and bank details entered at checkout are collected and processed by our licensed payment partner (Cashfree Payments) and are not stored on our servers.
• Location: approximate or precise location, only when you use doctor discovery or home-visit booking, to show nearby providers and enable service delivery.
• Media: photos of lab reports or documents you upload.
• Device & usage data: device identifiers, app version, log data, and diagnostics to keep the service secure and reliable.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the services: consultations, health records, medicine orders, bookings, insurance and EMI/financing facilitation.
• To route your care to the fulfilling provider (hospital, clinic, or pharmacy).
• To process payments through our payment partner.
• To verify identity (KYC) where required by law or our partners.
• To send you service notifications (appointments, prescriptions, reminders).
• To improve, secure, and troubleshoot the platform.

We process your data only for these purposes and on the lawful bases permitted under the DPDP Act (your consent, and where necessary to provide a service you requested).

3. When we share informationWe share the minimum necessary data with:

• The provider fulfilling your request (the hospital, clinic, doctor, or pharmacy).
• Payment partner (Cashfree Payments) — to process your payment and, where applicable, settle the provider's share.
• Insurers / financing partners — only when you choose to use insurance or EMI, to process a claim or a financing application.
• Service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, OTP/SMS, analytics) bound by confidentiality.
• When required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud.

We do not sell your personal data. EMI/Pay Later credit is provided by your bank or a lending partner — Jiv1 is a technology platform, not a lender.

4. Data storage & securityYour data is stored on secured servers in India (Mumbai / ap-south-1) in line with data-residency expectations. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we work continuously to protect your data.

5. Data retentionWe retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations. You can request deletion (see below); some records may be retained where the law requires.

6. Your rightsUnder the DPDP Act you may:

• Access and correct your personal data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent (this may limit our ability to provide certain services).
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
• Raise a grievance with us (and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India).

7. ChildrenThe app is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children without verifiable parental consent as required by the DPDP Act.
